The Importance Of Custom Team Apparel For Any Team In Athletics

By Rob Sutter

No matter which sport you enjoy, you're going to judge sports teams based on a number of factors. Of course, they have to be able to play well, since you want to support the groups which are going to be playing the absolute best. What about those which look aesthetically presentable on the field, though? While appearances may not matter much when it comes to the actual activity on the field, I believe that there's more to custom team apparel than people would care to admit.

You may not put much weight on the aspect of colors but you can rest assured that it stands strong. The Mets is one of the better examples of this because it utilizes hues that work to complement one another. Using a blue background is attractive enough but when orange is utilized for the sake of lettering, the blue helps the orange pop out more. Pairing off colors that simply work together is ideal and helps to make the team emblem that much worthier to wear.

You may be able to have a few teams like the Mets that have great colors but there are those who seemingly look like they were dressed in the dark. For example, the Chicago White Sox from 1984 had a red, white, and blue appearance that did not come across as aesthetically pleasing as it was probably intended. I'm all for showing patriotism along with a perfect mesh of colors since these can work well. However, with a suit was mostly white and red and blue being utilized in off-putting ways, the uni did not come together well.

I don't think that anyone will disagree that is a problem related to fashion and even companies such as East End Printing will be able to make the claim, too. Custom team apparel should stand out in the best of ways and I don't think anyone is going to be able to dispute this, either. Teams have to show that they are proud to wear such colors as they go out to play and, potentially, win. It's sad that some tailors do not understand which colors and appearances work best on sportswear.

Part of me wonders if people stay true to a sports team partially because of how the uniforms look. While I may not be a stickler when it comes to stats, I do know that there's a chance that the teams which appear the best are those which are going to be able to perform to the utmost degrees. This means that custom team apparel has to be crafted in a way that showcases them well. In my opinion, fans are only going to continue to flock to them as a result.
