Designing Vehicle Wraps In Anticipation Of "iron Man 3"

By Rob Sutter

"Iron Man 3" is the movie that I saw just a couple of days ago and I thought that it was an excellent piece. I believed that, as the last movie in the franchise, it had a great resolution and it did well in a way that most third movies seem to fail. With so many scenes that can be enjoyed, I don't think that anyone can argue the impact it will have on people for some time to come. The Iron Man suits are equally as stellar and it's because of them that I can look to designing vehicle wraps for ideas.

Tony Stark continually builds new models for his Iron Man suits and each one seems to be better than the last. However, each one is aesthetically different and I am sure that you can debate over which ones look the best. After all, everyone is going to have their own opinions on the matter, right? The latest one from the films, Mark 42, is one that I have mixed feelings on. I thought that the functionality of the suit was brilliant but the look of it simply didn't do anything for me.

Each superhero has his or her own colors which are worn and Iron Man is no exception. His colors have been, at least in my mind, red and gold. This is the ideal scheme because the red pops out and looks more dynamic while gold is utilized in order to accent it without seeing too overbearing. These days, though, I can't help but feel as though the gold is too prevalent to where the shade of crimson is no longer seen and I don't seem to deem the suit as pleasing to the eye as it once was.

Should the act of designing vehicle wraps stick to just these two colors, though? Absolutely not because you have to take into consideration the litany of other suits, like Mark II which is entirely chrome apart from Stark's arc reactor, which is bright blue as it perpetually glows. What about Mark V, which makes use of the same chrome appearance instead of gold? It's a look that actually works nicely and could be yet another example for companies the likes of JMR Graphics to make use of.

I thoroughly enjoyed "Iron Man 3" and it's unique for me to say this because I can become bored with films and television quite easily. I believe that anyone who enjoys movies - superheroes or not - owes it to themselves to see this. It's a Best Movie of 2013 candidate, in my eyes, and for good reasons. Not only do the scenes and characters work nicely but the visuals can easily parlay into the action of designing vehicle wraps if an idea is needed.
